In Memory of Barry Palser

Barry Palser passed away on 4th May 2020. Barry had been a regular favourite of the Club for many years, be it with his Savoy band or his Super Six. He was a good friend of the Club and will be greatly missed. We send our sincere condolences to Barry's wife Bridget and his family.

On a brighter note Barry's music will live on. Pete Rudeforth is to continue running the Super Six with Barry's repertoire and style, the band will be known as The Savoy Super Six.

We were to have had The Savoy Super Six play for us on 26th November 2020 and had hoped to use that night to raise monies for the Stroke Association, dedicating the evening to Barry's memory. Unfortunately, because of the pandemic, we were unable to hold the charity night.

DVD tracks: - Big Butter & Egg Man - Buddy's Habit - Working Man Blues - Just A Gigolo - Wrap Your Troubles In Dreams - Smiles - You Took Advantage of Me - Mamas Gone Goodbye - I've Got A Feeling I'm Falling - Bourbon Street Parade - Original Dixieland One Step - Sunny Side of the Street - Ole Miss Rag - Over In The Glory Land.

All profits from the sale of this DVD were donated to the Stroke Association in Barry's name. Thanks to your generosity we were able to make a donation of £500 to the Stroke Association.
